There is a significant need for increased awareness of corrosion as a phenomenon and as a risk. In industry the term corrosion is often ignored and usually recognized only if substantial damage occurs as a result of corrosion attack; for example, collapsing of bridge or leaks and explosion of pipelines, bursting water mains, corroding storage tanks, which leads to various accidents and finally plant shutdown
Although high degree of knowledge and expertise on corrosion related issues is available in the country, this is confined to certain packets and areas of the industry
To Share the knowledge and expertise available within the country to industry at large, CII-CMC has published booklets, which covers practically all aspects relating to corrosion management.
These handy booklets can be used for in-house training, self-study, and useful reference text for plant engineers and maintenance personnel.
